Definitely a King is a Democratic activism podcast hosted by Lori King, focusing on political issues local to the 419 area and beyond. Lori's mission is democratic activism with journalism integrity.
This logo was crafted to reflect the nature of the media, personality of the host, and content of the podcast.
Logo Breakdown
Definitely A King's logo features a crowned microphone as the main icon.
The crown motif is included both as a play on the podcast's name and the idea of unity and community (the crown shape doubles as three people holding hands!) Three dots and curved lines of the crown's design are also representative of a speech bubble.
Font choice parallels logo design: rounded and friendly with a touch of pizzaz.
The icon is line-focused and fairly simplistic, giving a lot of cleanliness while keeping visual charm. Rounded edges feel friendly, and the design as a whole feels very balanced and professional. Flourishes on the font's capital letters appear sophisticated yet approachable.
Color palette was based on the Democratic party's blue with monochromatic supporting colors.
